About Us

Author, writer and producer, Wellsley Fitzroy Shelton began his career in entertainment as the host of the television dance show “The Real Side” which was produced in Detroit and broadcast throughout four mid-western states for two years. Working as a manager for a Fortune 500 company, Wellsley was transferred to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he presently resides.

Having a burning desire to forge deeper into the entertainment industry, Wellsley united with Las Vegas’s prolific Director, Jerry Schafer of International Video Communication, Inc. to assist in producing the film “Fists of Steel, ”starring WBC Welterweight Champion, Carlos Palomino, Marianne Marks and Henry Silva. Filled to-the- brim with creative ideas and projects, Wellsley was guided to Mr. Freddie Monnickendam, an Emmy Nominated and the original Executive Producer who brought “The Smurfs” to America.

After a phone conversation with Mr. Monnickendam, about various projects, Wellsley flew to Los Angeles and the two formed “ShelMo Entertainment, Inc. to produce 65 half-hour episodes of children educational cartoons for Saturday mornings. However, due to the untimely death of Mr. Monnickendam the company dissolved.

As time passed, and during a conversation with Mrs. Monnickendam; it was her and Freddie’s wishes that Wellsley continue his educational fun loving and heartfelt stories. Thus, Sketchbook Entertainment, LLC was formed.
